Nicole Stedman

Dr. Nicole Stedman is an associate professor of leadership in the Department of Agricultural Education and Communication at the University of Florida. Prior to appointment at UF, she spent four years as an assistant professor of leadership at Texas A&M University. She obtained a BS in family, youth and community sciences, and a MS and PhD in agricultural education and communication from UF with a specialization in leadership development.
Dr. Stedman's current position includes coordinating the university-wide minor in leadership and instructing courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her current research interests are how educators can create experiences to increase capacity for critical thinking in the leadership classroom, including the use of artwork and other creative mediums. She has been a member of grant teams with over $700,000 in funding. The last grant project on which she served was focused on internationalizing curriculum in colleges of agriculture and life sciences and included trips to Costa Rica and Ecuador. Dr. Stedman has presented research regionally, nationally, and internationally.
