Preconference Sessions
This year, we are pleased to offer two preconference sessions as a way to enhance your experience.  You may choose either session for an additional $15 beyond the basic conference registration.  Here is a brief introduction to the two options.  More information will be available soon!

National Agricultural Leadership Education Summit

Saturday, 3PM-6PM, and Sunday, 9AM-12PM

All participants of the conference are invited to attend, but an expressed interest in agricultural leadership education is a must. Building off the 2012 ALE Conference, attendees of the Summit will explore potential collaborations, grant possibilities and opportunities to partner on funded research projects in the area of agricultural leadership education. Additional topics will include the future of agricultural leadership curriculum and program goals for the purposes of creating consistency and a more unified program vision. Leadership in the Classroom: Developing a Leadership Curriculum

Sunday, 9AM-3PM

Curriculum development in leadership education can be a complex endeavor.  With the growing interest in shifting to or developing a new curricular leadership program, the right resources are imperative to a successful transition.  This interactive session will introduce participants to best practices in leadership curriculum development including navigating helpful resources, exemplar curriculum and assessment / evaluation models, program coordination, professional development, and facilitating successful Student and Academic Affairs partnerships.  For more information, contact one of the presenters:
