Dr. Summer Odom is currently an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, & Communications department. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in personal leadership education, organizational leadership, public leadership development, and facilitating leadership programs. Prior to becoming an Assistant Professor, Dr. Odom was an advisor and lecturer for the Agricultural Leadership & Development major for 11 years. She earned her B.S. degree in Food Science & Technology in 1999, a M.S. in Agricultural Education in 2001, and her Ph.D. in Educational Human Resource Development in 2011 from Texas A&M University.
Dr. Odom's research interests include assessment in leadership education, core values and beliefs in the field of leadership education, and delivery strategies in teaching leadership.
