COVID-19 & the Annual Conference:

The Annual Conference is still happening! We know that several academic and professional conferences which were scheduled to occur now or begin in the near future have been cancelled. Since our conference happens in July, ALE is not prepared to make such an irreversible decision at this time. We will continue to monitor the situation and update the membership as needed.

Our conference hotel, which did not sustain any tornado damage after the recent storms, has been taking additional steps to ensure guest safety & wellness. They are prepared to host all scheduled events.

Conference planning is well underway! Details will be made available to the public as soon as possible. Here are some highlights we can share now:

Dr. David Rosch & Dr. Lindsay Hastings will be facilitating a pre-conference workshop on Sunday, July 12. Join them to learn about best practices in leadership education research & evaluation. Be sure to add this on when you register for the annual conference!

Our plenary speaker on Monday, July 13, will be Dr. Barbara Kellerman, author of Professionalizing Leadership (among other fantastic leadership books). We are very excited to have her joining us and sharing her expertise.

Our service project will connect us with Poverty and the Arts. You might even be taking some local art home with you!

Our Tuesday night excursion will take us to Wildhorse Saloon (just a few blocks from our hotel), a quintessential Nashville spot where we will get to enjoy music, great food, friends, and line dancing lessons (as desired).

Don't forget to use the menu to the right as a way to explore!

If you have questions about the upcoming conference, please contact the ALE 2020 Conference Chair, Marianne Lorensen or a member of the conference planning committee.
