Conference Service Partner

When it comes to our annual conference, we try to leave our host city a little better than we found it. With our conference service project, we partner with a local community organization, in an effort to create meaningful change through our collective work.

The 2024 conference service partner is Hands On Twin Cities!

The mission of Hands On Twin Cities is to inspire, equip, and mobilize a movement of people to make a positive difference through community engagement and service.

With Hands On Twin Cities, conference attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Snack Pack project!

Minnesota has just hit its third year of record-high food shelf visits due to rising food housing costs. These snack packs will be distributed to a local organization called Youthprise.

Youthprise was founded as a nonprofit philanthropic intermediary in 2010 by the McKnight Foundation with an original mission to champion learning beyond the classroom so that all Minnesota youth thrive. With guidance from an illustrious advisory committee and a founding Board of Directors, McKnight encouraged Youthprise to listen to the voices of young people, to give them a seat at the table, and to build programs and systems that are responsive to their needs — and guided by their ideas.

Conference attendees will decorate a brown paper bag using stencils and markers to provide joy and encouragement, and then fill it with a variety of snack items tailored to the needs and nutritional requirements of the recipients.
