Philadelphia offers a rich blend of history, culture, and modern energy that we will be tapping into during our annual conference. The Loews Philadelphia, our conference hotel, is in the heart of Center City and within walking distance to the Reading Terminal Market, Independence Hall, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It is also near a wide array of eateries to enjoy for when we aren’t sharing a conference meal together. Please check out the conference add-ons for information about both included and optional activities. With a record number of conference submissions, we believe this will be a wonderful opportunity to imagine leadership together!
Conference Add-Ons
Philadelphia Ghost Tour: On Monday night of the conference, we will discover the secrets hidden in the shadows of America's most historic and most haunted city! The Ghost Tour of Philadelphia will lead us on a candlelight walking tour along the back streets and secret gardens of Independence National Park, Old City, and Society Hill, where ghostly spirits, haunted houses, and eerie graveyards lurk in the night! The tour is kid-friendly, combining history, folklore, and ghost stories. It is also wheelchair accessible. With conference sponsorships we can offer this event to conference attendees at a discounted rate.
Awards Dinner & Celebration Guest Tickets: Please join us as we highlight our members many achievements and celebrate our great association on our final night of the conference! The Awards Dinner & Celebration is included in registration for conference attendees only. Any guests much purchase an additional ticket(s). Use the Guest Tickets form to purchase extra tickets, separate from registration.
Donate to the Founder's Student Scholar Award Fund: This fund supports the Association's ability to offer free registration to four graduate or undergraduate students presenting at our annual conference.
Conference Connectors Program: An exciting component of ALE conferences is the Conference Connectors program. This program, founded in 2014 was created in hopes of fostering an inclusive environment for our first-time attendees and helping them to get to know both the organization and its members on a more personal level, with the ultimate purpose of heightening the value of the conference experience for our first time attendees. The conference opening reception and newcomer welcome sub-committee invites new conference attendees to participate and ALE members to volunteer as ALE Connectors. You can choose these options during the registration process.
