Leadership educators bring unique insights, skills, and perspectives that are highly valuable in higher education administration—yet the path to these roles can often seem unclear. This interactive pre-conference session will demystify the transition from leadership educator to higher ed administrator, exploring how our expertise in leadership development translates into institutional leadership. Participants will engage in discussions on leadership identity, examine potential administrative frameworks, connect with leadership educators who have successfully navigated this journey, and explore opportunities for scholar-administrator research. Join us as we step beyond the shadows and illuminate the vast leadership possibilities that await in higher education administration.
